Teacher fellowship opportunity

Are you a secondary teacher with a passion for museums and galleries? If so, this teacher fellowship could be for you!

We are looking for someone:

  • With a passion for museums and galleries
  • With at least 5 years of teaching experience at secondary level in Wales
  • Who can regularly travel to St Fagans National Museum of History and National Museum Cardiff
  • Who has an excellent working knowledge of the New Curriculum and its opportunities for Learning Outside the Classroom
  • Who is comfortable working collaboratively with museums and schools to develop effective partnerships
  • Participate actively in supporting the principles and practice of equality of opportunity as laid down in Amgueddfa Cymru’s Equality & Diversity Policy.

The fellowship:
With support from the Clore Duffield Foundation, Art Fund is currently developing a new programme – Teacher Fellowships – designed to build and strengthen engagement between schools and museums across the UK. Through fully funded secondments, the Teacher Fellowships programme will give secondary school teachers the opportunity to work part-time within a museum with a Clore Learning Space, supporting the museum to develop their learning offer, increase engagement with schools in their area, and enrich curriculum-learning in school. Dates:

This fellowship will run from September 2024 to July 2025.
