How to Apply

This guidance is to help you complete your application form and take part in our selection process effectively. This will ensure we have all the information we need to assess how you meet the requirements of the role. Please read this guidance before starting your application.

The application form plays an important part in the selection process. To ensure fairness to all applicants, the decision to shortlist for interview is based on the information provided in the application form. It is important you supply as much information as we cannot take into account any previous knowledge we may have of you.

Please do not attach other documents such as your CV, testimonials or copies of educational certificates unless you are asked to. Applications in the form of CVs will not be considered.

Our online recruitment website will guide you through the application process as you progress from screen to screen. You will be able to save, exit and return to the application at any point prior to the job closing date.

Getting Started

Creating an account

If you already have a user account, please insert your username and password to sign in.

If you don't have an account, you'll need to create one by clicking ‘Register’ on the home screen. Complete the registration page and confirm you have read the privacy statement to register. You will need to read and agree to the Privacy Policy before you can create a user account within the system.

Once you have submitted this information, you will be taken to the welcome page, where you’ll see a list of current vacancies.

Application Form

Have you applied before?

If you've applied for previous vacancies, any information you entered at that time will automatically be populated into the relevant sections of the new application.

You should review any pre-populated information to ensure it is all up to date before applying.

Section 1 – Personal Details

Please complete as many personal details fields as possible. Those fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory and must be completed if you're to proceed with your application.

You may amend the records for your personal details, career, and education history at any time by clicking on ‘edit’ and ‘update’ as you complete an application.

You can also make changes by visiting the ‘Edit Profile’ link in the candidate homepage and choosing the tab that needs amending.

Please make sure you keep your email address up to date in your profile details. We'll send all correspondence to you via email, and we can't be held responsible if you don't receive important information due to an email address not having been changed on the system.

Section 2 – Employment History

Starting with your current or most recent employer, provide details of your complete work history over the last 3 years.

If you need to input more than one set of employer details, click ‘add’ and a new line will appear. This can include paid employment, voluntary work or work experience.

You should also include entries for any periods when you were not employed (eg full-time education, unemployed, maternity leave, etc.)

Section 3 – Qualifications and training

Starting with the most recent qualification awarded, give details of education establishment attended, subject or area of study, qualification awarded and the year of award. Provide details of any qualifications for which you are currently studying or awaiting results and the anticipated date of completion.

If you need to include more than one record, click ‘add’ and another line will appear. You may list a maximum of three institutions in this section.

Section 4 – Job specific Desirable/Essential skills & competencies

This section will relate back to the job description which is attached to the job advert under ‘Current Jobs’. Look at the skills needed and write down how your experience relates to each one.

Section 5 – Equality monitoring

We are committed to a policy of equal opportunity in our employment practices. The aim of the policy is to eliminate unlawful and unfair discrimination on any grounds including gender, ethnicity, age and disability.

All fields are mandatory, but you do have the option to answer ‘prefer not to say’ for some questions.

The information you submit here is treated as strictly confidential. It won't be used in the selection process or available to anyone involved in short listing.

Section 6 – Declaration

Each declaration is mandatory to complete the application. Read and confirm each section to proceed to the final section.

Section 7 – Confirm

The confirmation page will give you a preview of the completed application. We suggest reviewing your application prior to submission, as it won’t be available to view or amend once you click the ‘submit’ button.

Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an email confirming we have received your application.

After you’ve applied

Application progress

You will be informed of progress to your application by emails which will be sent to your user account and to the email address you use to login. You can access any received emails in your user account by clicking on the ‘Messages’ tab in the recruitment homepage.

Shortlisting

Shortlisting begins at the point you submit your application to the online system. Applications will be reviewed by a panel, who will consider whether the application has clearly evidenced that it meets the person specification criteria for the post.

Feedback

If you're unsuccessful in obtaining an interview, we'll send you an email notification as soon as the shortlisting process has been completed.

Interviews

If you're selected for an interview, we'll send you an email detailing the location, timing, and format of the interview. If you require any assistance or adaptations to help you attend interview, please let us know.

Offer of employment

Following the interview process, the successful candidate will be contacted by a member of the panel, and informed that we would like to offer them the post.
