This puzzle jug bears the initials of John Thackwell of Cardiff, a clock- and watchmaker, bailiff and alderman. Thackwell's wife was related to Edward Green, an agent at the Cambrian Pottery.

Thank you for your comments. While there are many puzzle jugs on the market, as far as is known this is the only one that bears the name of John Thackwell. Unfortunately the Museum does not sell objects in the collections. Good luck with your search.
