Celebrate Diwrnod Santes Dwynwen, the Welsh Patron Saint of Love with Amgueddfa Cymru.

Got the January blues? 

Find out how museums and heritage organisations can improve your mental wellbeing. Visit St Fagans, Big Pit or the National Wool Museum and have a go at an activity which can eliminate stress, improve mood and help us deal with everyday challenges. 

A range of drop-in and bookable sessions include blacksmithing, spinning, weaving, print making, mindful nature walks and more. Also, meet other organisations who can help with positive mental wellbeing and signpost to further information, support, advice and guidance. 

This will also be an opportunity to find out more about the Public Health Wales Hapus Project

Drop-in activities:

  • Make a love spoon family craft activity. Playlab 10am-3pm. 
  • ‘Put Yourself in the Picture’ historic dress and photo opportunity. Playlab 10am -3pm.
  • Music and Singing. Pithead Baths 10am - 3pm. 
  • Marketplace for local organisations & groups who can help you improve your mental wellbeing. Coity Room, Pithead Baths 10am-4pm.

The Museum will be CLOSED for staff training.

Last entry: 4pm.  
Underground tours: 10am-3.30pm.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For safety reasons, we reserve the right to conduct bag searches when entering the Museum​.

Parking

If you are arriving by car you will need to pay on arrival. £5 per day. FREE for disabled badge holders and motorbikes. This charge is for parking only – entry to the Museum remains free.

Eat, drink, shop

  • Our coffee shop serves a small range of hot and cold drinks, cakes and snacks. 
  • The Museum shop will be open during your visit.
  • You are welcome to bring a picnic to the Museum.
