Event: Christmas Weekend

National Museum Cardiff
15 & 16 December 2018, 11am - 4pm
Cost Free
Suitability All

Christmas this year in the Museum will be out of this world! We’re celebrating hosting the Tim Peake Soyuz space capsule with a star themed Christmas event.

There will crafts, activities and music all with a little sprinkling of stardust!

Father Christmas will also be bringing his reindeer into land at the Museum. Come and meet the man himself in his grotto for a special Christmas treat.

Father Christmas will be here from 11am – 12.30pm and 2pm – 3.30pm both days and costs £3 per child. No need to book, just drop in between these times and you can buy your ticket from the Museum shop.

With mulled wine and minced pies in the café, what better way to spend the day?!

Family Friendly Gallery Tours: Pupils from Albert Primary School have developed a tour of their favourite things in the Museum. Join the pupils on this special tour by children, for children. Please note, the tours will be held in English as Albert Primary is an English-language school.

Some of our staff speak Welsh, some are learning and others speak English only. Keep an eye out for the Iaith Gwaith lanyards to see who’s who. If you’re learning Welsh, give it a go! Sion Corn also speaks Welsh.
