After Dark in the Museum

After Dark in the Museum

Join us for a night of fun activities, mysteries, experiments and torch-lit tours.

Come and meet scientists and engineers from the Museum and Cardiff University and have a go at some awesome experiments.

  • Discover minerals and bacteria that glow in the ‘Glow Zone’ and paint with light.
  • Have a fake wound or find out about stuffed animals and skeletons in the ‘Body Zone’.
  • Get your hands dirty in the ‘Messy Zone’ making volcanoes and slime.
  • In the ‘Making and Moving Zone’ you’ll be able to see 3D printing, drones, or make junk fly!
  • Meet the scientists with torch lit tours of the dinosaurs, science busking and ‘Ask a Scientist’.

For these activities and many more, you’ll probably have to stop time to get round everything in 3 hours… Come to think of it, there’s probably an activity to do that as well…!

The Café in the Museum will be serving drinks and snacks.

The Art Galleries and the Dinosaur Babies Exhibition will be closed that evening
