Lower Palaeolithic stone scraper
An exceptionally fine transverse scraper with scalar retouch along edge. The piece is made on a glacially scratched pebble, which still has about 50% of its cortex on the dorsal surface.
The Neanderthals used scrapers to clean fat from animal skins.
