Very fashionable in last quarter of 19th century. Responsible for official Victoria Diamond Jubilee medal and the coinage head from 1893.)
John Pinches Ltd (Originally set up as 'Pinches Bros'. By 1850 John Pinches had set up in business on his own in Oxendon Street, London. He was succeeded by his son and grandson (also both called John).
In 1940 the company was registered as John Pinches (Medallists) Ltd.
In 1969 the company was sold to Franklin Mint Inc.)
