Joseph Morewood, Staniforth (Born Gloucester, his family moved to Cardiff in 1870. Started working for the Western Mail aged 15. His cartoons were published from 1889. 1851 parents living in Sheffield where they were both from. 1861 parents Joseph and Mary were living in St. Mary Street 1871 living in St. Mary Street with parents (born Gloucester) 1881 a painters apprentice living with parents in Caroline Street 1891 a newspaper artist living in Church Terrace, Llanishen with widowed mother 1901 a newspaper artist living in Station Terrace, Llanishen with wife Emily from Capton in Somerset Joseph married Emily Chidgey in 1891 (registered Cardiff))
