Early Bronze Age pottery collared urn
Large tripartite collared urn of quite hard fabric containing moderate rounded crushed rock inclusions. Oxidised buff orange external sruface, grey internal surface and core. Decorated externally between the rim and shoulder with rows of whipped cord impressions forming a herringbone design. The rim is flattened with oblique whipped cord impressions, but the deep internal bevel is plain, unlike the smaller vessel 42.176/1.
