narrow dark blue ribbon with lengthways inscription: '1st Castleton' (machine embroidered in weft direction using red cotton thread, 2-ply, S-twist). Unfinished ends folded over to reverse. Stitch holes from previous attachment to garment remain visible along edges. Ribbon is tabby woven with black warps and blue wefts.
