Medieval gold signet ring
A 'massive' gold signet ring. It has a circular matrix. The design is a lion passant on a bed of flowers within a single cable border with the legend: "to yow feythfoull (or) fethfoull to yow" in Black Letter miniscule and initials W A either side of the lion.
The shoulder of ring is decorated with a floral design (stylised acanthus?). Bevel to underside of bezel.
