Seal impression: Durham Episcopal
In niches beneath a double canopy, above which a lion of ENGLAND: dext. the Blessed Virgin seated holding her Child; sin. St. Cuthbert seated imparting a blessing. In base under a rounded carved arch, the bishop three-quarters length, kneeling in prayer. (This impression is the earliest example known at Durham of this class of seal.)
