This massive lime stone slab is probably 9th - 10th century and was first noted in the churchyard in the 19th century where it has been photographed. It is now in the Parish Church porch. It has traditionally been known as the leper stone as it was believed to cure lepers who rubbed against it. Sitting on it was reputed to be a perfect cure for headaches.
