Washday Workshop

How did people wash their clothes before the advent of modern technology? Come and help Anti Margiad on her washday to find out!

Booking this session for this school group will allow you to:

  • Travel back to the turn of the twentieth century for an immersive workshop with ‘Anti Margiad’

  • Help Anti Margiad to use the scouring board, tub and dolly and mangle to wash clothes, and learn more about life at the time

  • See, smell, touch and learn about soap and how it has changed through time

  • Make your own soap balls to take home
