Museum Workshop

Workshop: Museum Detectives in the Clore Discovery Centre

Ever wondered why museums exist and where the collections come from? Explore the Clore Discovery Centre to find out. This interactive gallery is filled with hundreds of objects from the museum collection that you can touch. This hands-on workshop gives the opportunity for exploration, enquiry, discussion and debate. You’ll take on the role of a curator to research and describe and object for a museum display. We’ll also debate and discuss museum collections in terms of colonialism and representation.

Duration: 1 hour
Cost: Led by Museum staff - £40 for up to 15 pupils, £60 for up to 35. Free for some schools (see booking information).
