Workshop: Reframing Picton - Investigating Historic and Contemporary Portraits

Visit the new Reframing Picton exhibition and look at historic portraits through a different lens. During this participatory workshop you will be encouraged to question the context of these historic portraits, discussing them in relation to colonialism, privilege, and race. We will also look at more contemporary art works– reframing the Picton narrative with a more diverse range of portraits.

Duration: 1 hour
Cost: Led by Museum staff - £40 for up to 15 pupils, £60 for up to 35. Free for some schools (see booking information).
