Museum's Vision Discussed at Llanberis

We are holding an event at the National Slate Museum, Llanberis at 2.30 pm on Friday 29 September, to discuss Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales's vision and aspirations for the next ten years — to become a World-Class Museum of Learning.

The Museum has been working on its vision for the past two years, with Michael Houlihan, Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales Director General leading the work. Last year, the Museum consulted publicly on the contents of the vision with visitors, friends, supporters and peer groups. This was an opportunity for those who took part in the consultation to hear how our plans will develop over the next few years. There will also be an opportunity to hear about the Museum's pan-Wales partnership activities.

If you would like to be part of the audience, call Kay Hanson at Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales on (029) 2057 3328, or e-mail rsvp@museumwales.ac.uk. Places are very limited, so advance booking is necessary.

A recording of the meeting will later be available our website.

Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales is supporting the History Matters – Pass It On celebrations, a joint project between Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales, Cadw, Heritage Lottery Fund and the National Trust. For more details go to www.historymatterswales.org.uk.
