Spin a yarn and weave a story at the National Wool Museum

Based at the former site of Cambrian Mills in the heart of the Teifi Valley, which was once the centre of a thriving woollen industry, the National Wool Museum has a fascinating story to tell. But this week, as the museum celebrates National Storytelling Week (27 January - 3 February), we‘re giving visitors the opportunity to tell a story about a day at the Museum.

Our story which begins with "It was a normal morning in the Museum as the first visitors arrived, when all of a sudden..."needs to be completed by the end of the week with the help of visitors contributing a couple of sentences each. The aim is to create one English and one Welsh story.

Kate Evans, Education Officer said: "This is an activity for all ages and we're looking forward to teasing the creative minds of our visitors. On Saturday (3 February) there will be an opportunity to draw a picture to interpret the final story and the winning artist will be awarded with a prize from the museum. And come and listen to stories being told by museum staff from 11 - 1pm."

The National Wool Museum will also be marking National Nest Box Week (14 - 21 February) when children will help decorate nest boxes and decide on the best place to put them.
