Impressive Half Term Line Up at St Fagans

As Wales gears up to face the remaining three countries in the Six Nations championship, St Fagans: National History Museum is preparing for the opening of a brand new gallery, Oriel 1 with a series of events during February which will suit avid Welsh rubgy fans.

Activities planned for half term at the open air museum will focus on some of the things which make us proud to be Welsh - a topic explored in Oriel 1, which will open at St Fagans later in the Spring.

If your ultimate ambition is to join the Welsh squad, come and learn some tactics from The Future Blues on 20 February, 11:00am - 3:15pm, or question Gwent Dragon's winger Nathan Brew, about his path to success from 2:00 - 3:00pm on 22 February.

With the rugby season well under way, why not take part in our craftmaking day on the theme of the Welsh rugby shirt (17 - 25 February, 11:00am - 1:00pm and 2:00pm - 4:00pm). Feel a part of the Welsh squad by creating your own national shirt.

Maybe the red dragon means more to you but do you know why there's a dragon on the Welsh flag? Hear legends, lores and a few interesting facts at the Museum's Celtic Village on 19 - 20 and 24 - 25 February 11:00am - 1:00pm and 2:00pm - 3.30pm.

Relive your most memorable try, or discover more about who you consider to be the greatest sports star of all time, with a look at some artefacts chosen from the collection of The Sports Hall of Fame in Oakdale Reading Room on 19 and 20 February from 11.30am to 2:00pm.
