Music at the Museum

Do you belong to a local choir, band, a pop or rock group? Would you like to showcase your talents at the award winning Big Pit: National Coal Museum?

 

Big Pit is looking for acts to suit a variety of musical tastes to take part in ‘Music at the Museum’ events during July and August this year. For further information, contact Sharon Ford on (01495) 790311 or sharon.ford@museumwales.ac.uk.

In the meantime, Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales is joining in the Easter fun offering an insight into the work and techniques of miner artists and those inspired by mining at Big Pit (7, 8, 9, 11 & 13 April from 11am – 3pm). Or learn about Roman pottery at the National Roman Legion Museum, Caerleon – what they made and how they did it (2 – 15 April). Pottery workshops are £1 per child and pre-booking is essential, call 01633 423134.

 

Admission to Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales is free thanks to the support of the Welsh Assembly Government.

 

Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales operates seven national museums across Wales.  These are National Museum Cardiff, St Fagans: National History Museum, National Roman Legion Museum, Caerleon, Big Pit: National Coal Museum, Blaenafon, National Wool Museum, Dre-fach Felindre, National Slate Museum, Llanberis and the National Waterfront Museum, Swansea.
