Lights out at the Waterfront

It'll be lights out for Swansea's National Waterfront Museum this weekend as it prepares to take part in the World Wildlife Fund's (WWF), Earth Hour.

For one hour, 8:30 till 9:30pm on Saturday 28 March, the Museum will plunge into darkness and join millions across the globe to help support international action on climate change.

Head of Museum, Steph Mastoris said: "When we heard about the campaign, we were very keen to get involved. It's all about being aware of climate change and we're delighted to be playing our part in this global initiative."

The Museum will continue to keep the topic firmly in the public eye as it welcomes Climate Change - What's Occurring? a touring exhibition arriving on Friday 10 April. The exhibition, booked for a three-month stay, will encourage visitors to learn about how climate change is affecting the world now and in the future.

Admission to Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales sites is free thanks to the support of the Welsh Assembly Government.
