It's a date - Waterfront is set to open doors - after hours!

Swansea’s National Waterfront Museum will, for one night only, open its doors after closing time.

Supporting the annual Museums at Night campaign (14 to 16 May), the National Waterfront will be hosting a special Night at the Museum on Saturday 15 May, 6 till 10pm.

Night owls can look forward to an evening of fun and entertainment as the Museum unlocks its doors for the after-hours celebrations.

Helping to make the past come to life will be real-life historical characters, live music, storytelling as well as a family film. Hands-on activities will include a code-cracking treasure hunt (prizes to those who crack it), vegetable seed planting and letter press printing.

“We’ve had a fantastic response to the event so far and lots of people have booked in,” said Events Officer, Miranda Berry. “It’s proved to be a great way to extend the reach of the Museum to more and more people who are eager to come along and experience something a bit different. It’s a fantastic opportunity to experience the collections after hours - an ideal event for the whole family to enjoy.”

Places are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Entry to this event is £2 per person.
