Free family fun for Whitsun!

Half-term is on its way and the National Waterfront Museum is gearing up for a fun-packed week of children’s hands-on activities and workshops.

It all starts with Shooting Stars on 29 May (11.30am, 1pm and 3.30pm) where those aged between 5 and 11 years can discover how Victorians viewed stars in Wales and make their own stellar collage.

On 30 May (11.30am, 1pm and 3.30pm), Funky Photograms will help budding photographers find out just how early photographers made photos without cameras.

Then between 31 May and 4 June (1pm and 3pm), Jon Chase a science communicator and rapper - as seen on CBBC - will lead Industrial Rap which will explore the science behind industrial processes.

And don’t forget on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 June (1.30pm), children will get the chance to make their very own speedy vehicle in the Gener8: Speed Trials Challenge.

“We’ve got something on everyday to keep children entertained and boredom at bay!” said Events Officer, Miranda Berry. “As well as the creative workshops, the Museum’s hands-on galleries are ready and waiting to be explored as well as a great family trail.”
