Big Draw kicks of at National Waterfront Museum

Pencils at the ready! - The National Waterfront Museum will come alive today (Saturday 9 October) with activities to mark the Big Draw Campaign.

Launched in 2000, this annual initiative has grown from 180 events in the UK to over 1500 worldwide. The Campaign aims to use drawing to connect visitors with museum and gallery collections, urban and rural spaces – and the wider community – in new and enjoyable ways.

Each year the National Waterfront Museum hosts an event to support the Campaign and this year’s theme is all about creating an imaginative storybook picture with our resident storyteller.

Workshops will be taking place throughout the day at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3pm. They are drop-in activities and no booking is necessary.

Marie Szymonski, Marketing Manager at the Museum said: “We’re delighted to take part in this year’s Big Draw Campaign. The events planned are ideal for families, so come along and join in.”
