Bag some Christmas crafts at the Waterfront

Started your Christmas shopping yet? Want to get something a bit different this year for Aunt Sally? Then come along to the National Waterfront Museum this weekend for a range of arty crafty ideas in readiness for the festive season.

On Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 November from 10am-4pm, the Swansea Bay Craft Fair will bring together talented crafters from across the region to display and sell their crafty creations.

Stalls will range from glass, greeting cards, jewellery and textiles to dried flower arrangements, teddy bears and photography.

Visitors will also get the chance to see some local crafts in full action including live demonstrations of wood carving, pot throwing and quilting as well as leather workshop.

Speaking about the forthcoming fair, organiser Phil Baker said: “There’ll be some great Christmas ideas amongst the 30 stalls this year, but more importantly, those popping along will be able to chat to some very talented crafters to find out all about their skills and experience.”

As well as browse the delights at the fair, those attending on Saturday 6 November can delve into the baskets of bits and bobs and take part in Make & Mend at 1.30pm.

Working to a fleece and fibres theme, the hands-on workshop will give visitors the chance to turn something old and dated into something fresh and new. The workshop is £3 per person and is ideal for those aged 16 and over.
