The evening will take the form of a question and answer session introduced by the Football Association of Wales (FAW) Head of Public Affairs, Ian Gwyn Hughes and FAW historian, Ceri Sennett.

It will also give visitors the chance to see the exhibition Playing for Wales, the story of the Football Association of Wales. This modest exhibition traces the history of the FAW, focusing on the national teams and highlights including the 1958 World Cup quarter final and the 1927 FA Cup win by Cardiff, the only time the cup has left England.

The Swansea-born former central defender is the twelfth permanent manager of the Welsh side and the Museum is delighted to play a part in his introduction to the city as the new Wales manager. Steph Mastoris, Head of the Museum said, “we’re over the moon to be asked to host to this event, not only will it be a superb opportunity to meet a Welsh football great, but it will also give visitors the chance to browse the exhibition.”

Wales’ manager Chris Coleman said: “I am really pleased to be able to come to my hometown of Swansea for one of our FAW Roadshows and meet some of the fans. It is a great football area and I look forward to a great evening.”
