National Wool Museum gets into the Christmas spirit

If you are looking for unusual items to give as presents this festive season, then do not miss the Festive Craft Fair at the National Wool Museum on Saturday 29 November.

From 10am-3pm, the charming Museum located in Dre-Fach Felindre will showcase a selection of stalls with traders offering a wide variety of craft and hand-made items such as textile crafts, cards, soaps, cushions, knitwear, wood crafts and photography.

Visitors can then relax in the cafe and enjoy a range of homemade cakes, pastries and light lunches from 10am-4.30pm.

The National Wool Museum is a unique place to visit with a spellbinding story to tell. Visitors can discover the whole process from fleece to fabric as well as see the restored listed mill buildings with historic machinery in full working order.

Families can have fun following the specially designed trail A Woolly Tale and create their own guide to making and using woollen cloth, trying their hand at carding, spinning and sewing along the way.

Entry to the museum is free.
