Family Fun at the National Woollen Museum

The National Woollen Museum, Dre-fach Felindre, celebrates Family Learning Week by launching two new activities aimed at children and families on Saturday 16 October.

A Woolly Tale is an interactive and fun trail for families to follow together. Families simply pick up a card and follow the panels through the museum creating their own step by step guide to making and using woollen cloth. Along the way they can try their hand at carding, spinning, weaving and sewing, taking away their own piece of woollen cloth at the end.

The Museum's Art Cart is designed to be used throughout the museum to enable everyone to have a go at a variety of craft activities including paper and yarn weaving and collage, taking their inspiration from the museum's displays.

The activities and entry to the museum is free, thanks to support from the Welsh Assembly Government.

The National Woollen Museum is open throughout the winter from 10am to 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday. For further information contact the Museum on 01559 370929.
