Festive season kicks off at Waterfront this weekend!

Join us this weekend as the National Waterfront Museum comes alive with a sparkling mix of crafts and carols, along with a visit from Santa and real donkeys.

On Sat 5 Dec from 12pm-4pm families will be entertained by Santa who will be popping in to tell some festive tales, as well as plenty of crafts for visitors to enjoy. A beautiful group of heart-warming donkeys, including a super sweet miniature breed will be popping in too.

Also running on Saturday at 2pm is a special talk by Andrew Lound of the Swansea Astronomical Society who will deliver a fascinating presentation all about the galaxy’s solar system.

Then on Sunday (6 Dec, 2.30pm), visitors can get festive with a traditional family film shown in the atmospheric Warehouse Gallery under the sparkly lights.

Looking forward to the events planned this weekend, Miranda Berry, Events Officer said: “This is just the start of the festive treats we’ve got planned this year and there is something for the whole family to enjoy.”

And it doesn’t stop there, over the next couple of weeks the Museum will be hosting a Christmas Quiz Night (Fri 11 Dec, 7pm), a Creative Christmas Cupcake demonstration by the Raspberry Cakery (Sun 13 Dec, 12.30pm-3.30pm) as well as lots of themed crafts and family films.

Also, check out the Museum’s shop which is full of festive gift ideas including jewellery, Welsh chocolate, books plus plenty of stocking fillers for children.
