Fun times in store at the National Wool Museum

It’s all about family fun this weekend (Saturday 5 March) at the National Wool Museum in Dre-Fach Felindre.

From 10am-3pm, the Museum will open its doors to welcome a day filled with crafts, storytelling, balloon modelling, games and dancing.

Working with Menter Gorllewin Sir Gâr, Twf, Ysgol Gyfun Emlyn Youth Forum, Carmarthenshire Support Services, Coleg Ceredigion and Cered, this free entry event will be a fantastic day to keep the whole family entertained.

The event will also celebrate Wales’s Year of Adventure where children are encouraged to dress up as a superhero of their choice – prizes will be awarded for the best dressed.

There will also be plenty of time to browse the Museum where families can try out the Woolly Tale, a fun and educational activity that follows the whole wool-making process from fleece to fabric.

“We’re delighted to be hosting this event on Saturday,” said Joanna Jones, Learning Manager at the Museum. “Not only is it an opportunity for families to come along and take part in the hands-on activities we’ve got planned, but they can also take a look around the Museum seeing historical machinery and traditional tools in full working action.”

Family Fun Day is on Saturday 5 March from 10am-3pm at the National Wool Museum in Dre-fach Felindre.
