National Wool Museum gears up for the Good Life

Get ready to live the good life this weekend (Saturday 14 May 10am-3pm) at the National Wool Museum in Dre-Fach, Felindre.

As part of the Museum’s summer events programme, The Good Life Festival will be the perfect opportunity for visitors to get to grips with all-things nature inspired from sustainable beekeeping to natural dyeing using plants.

Now in its third year, the event will welcome local crafts people from all over Carmarthenshire who will showcase their special skills from making ropes for horse’s halters to basket weaving and knitting.

“We’re delighted to be hosting this event again this year,” said Head of Museum, Ann Whittall. “It’s a great opportunity for people to come along and discover more about crafts and activities close to nature.”

As well as the chance to see live craft demonstrations, visitors will also have the opportunity to browse the Museum taking in the rich history of the woollen industry – one of the most important and widespread industries in Wales.

Entry to the event and Museum is free.
