Best week ever for UK's top museum

2005-06-07Big Pit: National Mining Museum of Wales celebrated a bumper week with a record number of visitors coming through the doors, last week. Between 30 May and 5 June, 6836 people visited this top Museum in Blaenafon, a week after Big Pit was named at the winner of this year's prestigious Gulbenkian prize for Museum of the Year.
Big Pit opened its doors to the public in 1983 and became the National Mining Museum of Wales
