Summer Holiday Fun

Cardiff's National Museum & Gallery's family events programme is led this summer by the wonders of Science. From Beachwatch to Desert Snakes, there's something for everyone at Glanely Discovery Gallery.

30, 31 July & 1 August — Desert Snakes! Explore the amazing world of reptiles and find out about snakes that live in the desert. Come along to our family snake talks and activities, and you may even be lucky enough to meet a live snake — depending on how brave you are!

6-14 August — National Marine Week. Come and find out about the weird and wonderful world at the bottom of the sea and help create a giant 3D sea mural showing life on the seabed.

9-12 August — Are great white sharks as bad as they seem? How do you size up to a humpback whale? Discover the different species of sea turtles, sharks and marine mammals, and find out what to do if marine animals get stuck on shore. See our spectacular life-size marine creatures and much more at our Family Marine Show.

Ciara Charnley, National Sciences Education Officer says:
