Christmas Fun at the National Wool Museum

For a sackful of festive fun, why not visit the National Wool Museum, Dre-fach Felindre this Christmas?

We'll be celebrating Christmas with a special event on 21 December, with carol singing, mulled wine, mince pies and a very special guest for our younger visitors – Father Christmas himself!

The museum, which is part of the Amgueddfa Cymru — National Museum Wales family is the perfect place for anyone looking for that special Christmas gift.

The National Wool Museum's shop is one of Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales' gems, selling all types of gifts, from shawls and Welsh blankets to toy sheep of all shapes and sizes! It's the perfect place for Christmas shopping – especially with a special 10% off purchases between now and mid January.

It's also an excellent opportunity to explore the old industrial machinery and to learn more about the small village, once known AS the ‘Huddersfield of Wales' at the height of the Welsh wool industry.

Amgueddfa Cymru — National Museum Wales is the new name for the National Museums & Galleries of Wales, which administers seven national museums across Wales: National Museum Cardiff, St Fagans: National History Museum, National Roman Legion Museum, Caerleon, Big Pit: National Coal Museum, Blaenafon, National Wool Museum, Dre-fach Felindre, National Slate Museum, Llanberis and the National Waterfront Museum, Swansea.

Entry to all Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales sites is free, thanks to the support of the Welsh Assembly Government.

The Christmas event starts at 4.30pm on Wednesday 21 December. For more details, please contact the museum on 01559 370 929.
