Make time to visit your National Museum

Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales has seven fantastic museums across the whole of Wales, which are all perfect places to spend a lunchtime. This Friday (24 February) is Work Your Proper Hours Day, so why not take a proper lunch hour and spend it at one of our museums?

Spending an hour at the museum during your lunchtime can make a real difference to your day. Come and see your favourite painting – or find a new favourite painting at National Museum Cardiff. Make time to visit our newest museum – Swansea’s National Waterfront Museum; or why not call in to see how the work’s progressing on St Teilo’s Church at St Fagans National History Museum? With free entry, thanks to the support of the Welsh Assembly Government, there’s no excuse for not making time to visit our national collections.

If you’re looking for a bite to eat in a fantastic location, come to the cafes and restaurants at our national museums, and remember, we’ve got gift shops at each of our museums – the perfect place to find an unusual gift for someone special.

Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales is the new name for the National Museums & Galleries of Wales, which operates seven national museums across Wales. These are National Museum Cardiff, St Fagans: National History Museum, National Roman Legion Museum, Caerleon, Big Pit: National Coal Museum, Blaenafon, National Wool Museum, Dre-fach Felindre, National Slate Museum, Llanberis and the National Waterfront Museum, Swansea.
