Film Characters Come to Life at National Museum Cardiff

With less than a week to go before the opening of the film Ice Age 2: The Meltdown in the UK, why not call into National Museum Cardiff to have a real look at some of the characters in the film.

National Museum Cardiff has an excellent collection of animals from the Ice Age – including a special mammoth – which is very similar to Manny and Ellie from the popular film.

Siân James, Press Officer at National Museum Cardiff says:

"Popular films like the Ice Age are an excellent opportunity for us to raise awareness of some of the collections we have in the museum. We else in Cardiff – or anywhere in Wales – can you come face to face with the remains of a real woolly mammoth? We hope that children and their parents will flock to the museum over the Easter period, to meet the animals which lived during the Ice Age."

There's plenty to see and do at National Museum Cardiff, which is home to Wales' scientific and art collections. With a restaurant, coffee shop and a gift shop, there's no excuse for not spending the whole day exploring the various galleries.

Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales operates seven national museums across Wales.
