Swashbucklin' fun at the Waterfront

Ahoy there me hearties — fancy some swashbuckling fun this weekend? Venture down to Swansea's National Waterfront Museum and you'll find a wave of activities taking place as part of the Seaswansea Festival — and it's FREE.

Combining old favourites from the Swansea Maritime and Shanty Festival with an exciting new programme of summer fun, there will be a bit of something for everyone — even ye landlubbers.

Families will be spoilt for choice with a bounty of activities and displays taking place.

Two giant penguins will be making their debut and there will also be an appearance by the Newfoundland Dogs Rescue. Watch out for the whale workshop with life-sized sea creatures on show, ranging from dolphins and sea turtles to seals and even sharks.

And there's more, including shanty singing, living history time travellers, marine eco awareness activities and even yatching and water-based activities including a flotilla of boats.

Shiver me timbers! We will also be looking for the best dressed pirate...

The fun takes place on Saturday and Sunday July 8 and 9 from 11 am to 5 pm.
