Organised with Menter Iaith and Twf, Welsh Fun Time for Tots – a brand new event for this year – is ideal for children aged between 0 and 3 years and has been designed to promote the benefits of bilingualism and advantages of learning to speak Welsh from an early age.

The morning will include a mix of Welsh singing, crafts, face painting, a chance to play on a specially adapted community fire engine, as well as a visit from Superted and a rhyme-time session with S4C presenter of Stwnsh, Eleri Griffiths.

“We’re delighted to be hosting this new event at the Museum,” said Events Officer, Miranda Berry. “Surrounded by Welsh heritage and culture, it’s the perfect place for little ones to start being introduced to the Welsh language, as well as a great opportunity for new parents to meet others,” she added.

Speaking about the forthcoming event, Shelley Rees, Menter Iaith Abertawe’s Workforce Development Officer, said: “It will offer a great opportunity for Welsh and non-Welsh speakers to get together and enjoy the diversity of Welsh culture as well as raising awareness of the language and its advantages for young children and adults alike.”

Welsh Fun Time for Tots takes place at the National Waterfront Museum on Tuesday 28 September from 10.30am-12pm. No booking is necessary.
