Victorian crafts inspires Make & Mend at the Waterfront

Ever thought about turning that old picture frame into a shabby-chic masterpiece? Well now’s your chance at this month’s Make & Mend workshop.

Drawing on the theme of decoupage for inspiration, attendees will explore various designs and techniques using retro wall paper and fabric before embellishing further with buttons and vintage rubber stamp prints.

“It’s an ideal opportunity to turn your hand to something new and different,” said Events Officer Miranda Berry. “It’s also a great way to recycle those unwanted items you might have at home. Over the next couple of months we’ve got books, plants and flowers and crockery as themes, so lots of options to come along and give them a go!”

This month’s Make & Mend takes place on Saturday 5 March at 1.30pm.

Workshops for those aged 16 and over and cost £3 per person.

Places are limited, so please book in advance on 01792 638950.

Make & Mend is a monthly up cycling workshop which takes place on the first Saturday of each month.
