2011-04-27Is your name William or Kate? Big Pit would like to help you celebrate your namesakes’ special day by offering discounts this weekend.
Big Pit will be celebrating the nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton this weekend by offering a free hot drink with every meal sold to all Williams and Kates that visit the Museum.
Peter Walker, Keeper & Mine Manager said: “Admission to Big Pit is already free, but we wanted to help celebrate this happy event by welcoming all Williams and Kates and helping them enjoy their own special ‘reception’ in our Canteen.
“The offer, which runs from Friday 29 April to Sunday 1 May, recognises that many people will want to enjoy an extra day out with their family over this long bank holiday weekend, and Big Pit is the perfect place to share special family time”
Big Pit is open throughout the Bank Holiday weekend, 9.30am-5pm, and underground tours run 10am-3.30pm every day. Admission is free.
