Murder Most Foul... Roman Legionary Museum 26-30 July.

Ever fancied yourself as a Miss Marple or Inspector Morse in the making? The Roman Legionary Museum's murder mystery workshops give children a chance to find out who dunnit ? with an ancient world twist!

Kicking off the summer events programme, the workshops give children a chance to explore the museum looking for clues, murder weapons, motives and suspects by joining Caerleon's special Roman police.

With murder on their mind, they get to learn all about how the Romans lived ? and died - whilst honing their investigative skills. Museum Manager, Bethan Lewis, says:

"These murder mystery workshops are amongst our most popular events. The children get totally engrossed in the case, and don't even realise that they're learning about history as they search the museum for clues. Catching the bad guy ? or girl ? at the end makes sure that the event is enjoyed by all."

Workshops need to be booked in advance on 01633 423134. They are at 11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm. Children should be aged 7 or above, but there'll be plenty for younger brothers and sisters to do.

Entry to the museum is free, thanks to the support of the Welsh Assembly Government.
