National Museum Wales looking for designers for the National Eisteddfod 2018 Chair

Following the official ceremony announcement that the National Eisteddfod will take place in Cardiff in 2018, Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales is already thinking towards the Chairing Ceremony in 2018. St Fagans National Museum of History will celebrate its 70th birthday in 2018 and to celebrate, the national institution has decided to sponsor the Chair for 2018. This week sees the beginning of the process of appointing a designer or maker to create the Chair.

Featuring rarely seen photographs from the author’s private collection, Agatha Christie: A Life in Photographs illustrates the life behind the works of the most widely published author of all time. The exhibition is at National Museum Cardiff from 17 June to 3 September 2017.

Historians from the University of Warwick – funded by the Wellcome Trust – have been touring the UK to gather peoples first hand experiences and attitudes towards the National Health Service.
