Important Road Closure News: Bridge Erection on Fabian Way - It is intended that the superstructure erection will take place over weekends commencing 20 and 27 July 2007. Fabian Way will have to be closed in both directions for these weekends. Closure will commence between 7.00 pm and 10.00 pm on the Friday of these weekends and extend until 6 am on the Monday morning.

The Ermine Street Guard has become a familiar sight at the Roman Military Spectacular, Caerleon, South Wales. But this year’s event (7 and 8 July 2007) will be of greater significance for the soldiers as the Guard celebrates its 35th Birthday.

The National Roman Legion Museum is honoured the Guard is returning to the spectacular event, exactly 35 years since the eight founder members of the society first paraded at the historical pageant in the combined Gloucestershire villages of Witcombe and Bentham.

To mark Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales's centenary celebrations, a major exhibition exploring the remarkable lives of the sisters Gwendoline (1882-1951) and Margaret Davies (1884-1963) goes on show at National Museum Cardiff.

Gwendoline and Margaret Davies were two extraordinary women who amassed one of the most stunning British art collections of the 20th century, and were the greatest benefactors of the Museum's first hundred years.
