Model Rail Day will hit the track at the National Wool Museum from 10am-3pm on Saturday 1 November. It will be a chance for visitors to see 20ft layouts of Cilgerran to Cardigan and one of Manorbir, Pembrokeshire.

Yes, visitors to the National Roman Legion Museum this half term (27-31 October) will be able to see the rotten, bloody and mouldy side of Roman life in their ‘Gore Blimey!’ workshops (11am – 4pm with last entry at 3.30pm and cost £2 per child). Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales in partnership with The Federation of Museums and Art Galleries of Wales and the Portable Antiquities Scheme in Wales has attracted a major grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to fulfil the exciting potential of new discoveries. The project Saving Treasures, Telling Stories has been awarded £349,000 to work with finders and communities and enhance the archaeology collections of national and local museums across Wales.
