Explore the wonderful world of worms this summer at National Museum Cardiff at a new family friendly exhibition, Wriggle! which opens from Saturday 18 June until 30 September 2017, From fossils to fantasy, food to spectacular beauty, and the scary ones too, visitors can discover the mind-blowing diversity of worms from the museum’s own collections for free. On Saturday 18^th June, visitors can expect a fun filled open day of activities, storytelling, crafts and a chance to meet some of the museum scientists with interesting specimens from behind the scenes.

The National Waterfront Museum will be showcasing a mix of cars, buses and science this weekend to celebrate Father’s Day.

International youth film festival Cidwm Cymru:16 Wicked Wales:16 is joining forces with the National Wool Museum and Cambrian Mountain Wool CIC to launch a brand new competition to find talented designers who will be creating the festival film awards out of wool from Wales.

The Oakdale Workmen’s Institute which was moved to St Fagans National History Museum in 1989, has proved one of the most popular exhibits at the Museum. Now staff at Fagans National History Museum want to hear you stories about the Institute in special event at Oakdale Community Centre, Oakdale from 2pm on Wednesday 18 May.

Visitors to St Fagans National History Museum can experience the clash of swords, the shouts of men and the smell of gun smoke in a unique large scale living history event this bank holiday weekend. On 28-29th May, 6-9pm, “The Battle”, a re-enactment event in collaboration with the English Civil War Society will take place at the museum giving visitors the opportunity to witness a historical Welsh battle come alive before their eyes.

An inspiring and unique new play area at St Fagans National History Museum is currently being designed and developed to replace the previous play area at the open air museum.
