Collections: Welsh furniture (1500s to present), furnishing fabrics, clocks, Welsh clockmakers, material culture of National Eisteddfod. Currently working on St Fagans Redevelopment Project.

Qualifications, memberships and relevant positions

BA Joint Honours Welsh History and Welsh (Cardiff University); PhD (in Welsh) on aspects of the material culture of the gentry of Denbighshire and Flintshire, 1540-1640 (Cardiff University, 1999); Member of Society for Folklife Studies.

Research Interests

Currently researching the VAD hospital at St Fagans Castle during the First World War for forthcoming publication; the Welsh llys in the thirteenth century as part of reconstruction project of medieval prince’s court based on Llys Rhosyr, Anglesey.

Other research interests include Bardic chairs either national or local, Bryn-mawr Furniture, utility furniture, folk art.
