Event: St Fagans' Birthday Celebration

St Fagans National Museum of History
1 July 2018, 11am-4pm
Cost Free
Suitability All

On Sunday 1 July 2018, join us at St Fagans National Museum of History as we celebrate the museum’s 70th birthday.

Were you an early visitor to St Fagans? Are you a former member of staff? Did you visit the Museum on a school trip?

Whatever your memories of the Museum, join us on Sunday 1 July between 11am-4pm as we mark this special day.

Share your memories of your school trips and days out in our video booth, or record a birthday greeting. Bring your family snaps and school photos to share – staff from People’s Collection Wales will be on hand to help you digitize and add them to a special collection charting the Museum’s history.

St Fagans has always been a museum for the people of Wales, and so we want you to add your story to our giant timeline.

Get a glimpse of some of the objects crucial to the Museum’s early years in our pop up display, or take a seat in the lecture theatre and discover some footage from the archive.

Join us at 3pm to enjoy a performance from the Museum’s choir, before sharing a cup of tea and a slice of cake.

This is a public event. All welcome.
