This one day course is a chance to try your hand at the craft of basket making in the inspirational setting of Gweithdy, the Museum’s brand new workshop and gallery celebrating the skills of makers past and present. Working under the guidance of local craftswoman Clare Revera, you’ll learn the techniques required to make a traditional frame basket - perfect for egg collecting or to use as a garden trug.

This course is suitable for complete beginners – the price includes all materials required to make your basket.

Light refreshments will be provided. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch or visit our on-site catering facilities. The price of this course includes parking – collect your parking pass from the reception desk on arrival.

Language: This course will be held in English but we are happy to provide simultaneous translation if you would like to take part in Welsh. Please choose a ticket in your language of choice, making sure you have one ticket for each person. Please book your tickets at least one week before the event.

Accessibility: The Gweithdy Studio is a 5 minute walk from the main building and carpark – please contact events@museumwales.ac.uk prior to booking to discuss any accessibility requirements.
