Spoon Carving

Join Vic Phillips of SingleMaltTeapot as he takes you through the essential tools and techniques needed to carve your first spoon. You’ll head away with the skills to use Sloyd and Crook woodcraft knives for a variety of wood carving projects as well as a wonderful limewood kitchen spoon.

During the workshop we’ll cover:
- Safely using woodcraft cutting techniques
- How to approach carving wood using Sloyd and Crook knives
- Applying a beautiful, long lasting finish to your spoon
- Sourcing new materials and how different woods behave when carved
- The tools to keep carving at home and how best to care for them

The price of this course includes parking, all materials and light refreshments. You’re welcome to bring a packed lunch or visit one of our cafes. Collect your parking pass from 10am onwards at our main entrance. Your course will start at 10.15am or 1.30pm.

Language: this course will be held in English but we are happy to provide simultaneous translation if you would like to take part in Welsh. Please choose a ticket in your language of choice, making sure you have one ticket for each person. Please book your tickets at least one week before the event.
